Case Study: Photography Studio Scores With Niche Website
A Phoenix-based photography studio created a specialized website to sell boudoir photography services. The result has been steady growth in that area of their business.
Some services require delicate messaging and specialized touch to sell. A photography studio that uses Marketing 360® discovered that boudoir photography was just that type of service.
They described their boudoir services on their main website but just having a backpage that described this offer was getting them no conversions. They realized they needed content that did a better job of presenting their approach to boudoir that gave a sense of how specialized their services are.
With that content in place, they could create a marketing strategy exclusively for boudoir photography services.
Fortunately, as Marketing 360® clients, they knew they could get a website designed when they used our marketing services – which they were going to do anyway.
Born from this is a design for this service that does several important things.
First, it created a much stronger message match between their ads and the content they linked with.
Efforts on their old website converted at less than 1%, but with the new content, conversion rates jumped to average 6.25%. The top keywords have converted as high as 25%.
We attribute these high conversion-rates to the detailed, specific content that does a better job of outlining their approach to boudoir photography and stronger calls to action that motivate people to reach out to them.
The second impact is that their organic rankings went way up.
The main site had nothing in the top ten for “boudoir” related keywords. Today, they rank on page one for most of their highest performing keywords.
All this traffic increases brand awareness, which is another strong channel for conversions. From almost no conversions for these services on their old site, the last 6-months reversed course with 269 conversions.
These are lucrative jobs that provide strong marketing ROI for this client.
In fact, the ROI is particularly strong because they didn’t really invest anything they weren’t already investing.
It’s just a much better strategy and execution. That’s how you fuel your brand.
