Product Update: Create Collaborative Posts on Instagram
Looking to expand your reach on Instagram? Now, you can easily invite up to three collaborators to your Instagram posts directly within our Social app.
What does this mean for you? When you publish a post with a collaborator, it doesn’t just appear on your profile; it’s shared across the profiles of everyone you’ve tagged. All the likes, comments and reach are shared and aggregated on that single post, creating a unified and far more impactful piece of content.
Unlock exponential growth and simplified campaigns
This feature is more than just a new button; it’s a tool for strategic growth. With Instagram Collaborator Tagging, you can exponentially increase your post’s reach and engagement.
Imagine you run a local coffee shop and you’re about to launch a new seasonal drink. You partner with a popular local food blogger to help promote it. Instead of just coordinating who posts what and when, you can now create a single post and add the blogger as a collaborator. Once they accept the invite to collaborate, your post will be cross-posted to their feed, allowing you to reach their thousands of dedicated followers who may have never heard of your shop. This simplifies your co-marketing and influencer campaigns, as everything is managed from one central place.
The best part is that all the engagement happens on that single post. Every like and comment from your audience and the blogger’s audience appears together, creating powerful social proof. It also allows you to track the combined performance of your effort seamlessly.
How to add collaborators to your next post
Getting started is simple. Here’s a quick walk-through of how to use this powerful new feature:
Step 1: Begin by clicking the “Add Collaborator” button when you are creating your Instagram post in the scheduler.
Step 2: Type in the account name you wish to add. You can add up to three collaborators for a single post. For business accounts, the scheduler will automatically search for and find the profile. While Instagram does not allow for searching personal accounts, you can still add them by typing the profile name manually.
Step 3: Once you’ve selected the account or typed it in, simply click “Confirm” to add them to your post.
It’s important to note that collaboration invites won’t work for profiles that are set to private or are age-restricted.
