Content marketing is an invaluable tool for small businesses, as it helps them gain visibility and draw in new customers. It can be done on a budget and is a great way to reach potential customers without spending a lot of money on advertising.
Content marketing is all about creating and sharing content to promote your business and attract potential customers. This can be in the form of blog posts, social media posts, emails, videos and any other type of content that your target audience will find helpful and interesting.
There are many things you can do to make the most of content marketing for your business, including optimizing your content for relevant keywords. But, one of the most important aspects of effective content marketing is consistency.
Publishing high-quality content on a regular basis is key to getting your message seen by potential customers, building trust and driving organic results.
Marketing 360® drives organic success with consistent content marketing
At Marketing 360®, we’ve recently witnessed the power of consistent content marketing on our own blog.
For several months, we were focused on other organic strategies and only published about one blog per week. But, in January, we pivoted back to an aggressive blogging and content marketing schedule.
Compared to our performance in December, we saw a 7% increase in impressions, a 15% increase in clicks and engagements, and a 53% increase in conversions in January. Plus, we also saw an increase in average pages per visit, time on website and website visits.
How did we do it?
We improved our organic page performance by publishing fresh content on our blog a regular basis, with the aim of publishing two posts per day.
We mix up the type of small business marketing blogs we publish, with tips and tricks, marketing case studies and industry-specific blogs. We also regularly update our old blogs with fresh content to keep them up to date and increase organic traffic.
Another way we boosted traffic to our blog site — while also promoting our blog content — was to share it on social media.
Last but certainly not least, we used content marketing to stay in touch with leads and clients through email marketing. Like on social media, we used our monthly newsletter to share blogs and drive traffic back to our blog site.
Conclusion
From increasing organic visibility to building trust with potential leads and customers, content marketing can be a powerful tool for small businesses. But, in order to make the most of it, you have to publish fresh, high-quality content on a regular basis.
